Jordan bonded themselves, promising to pay three thousand dollars in the event that Applegate did not discharge his duties as treasurer properly. The document is signed by two witnesses, R.B. Canova and Henry Braun, as well as Lewis Wilson, the president of the Clay County Board of Commissioners.
