- One digital audio tape (DAT). The Florida State Fiddle Contest was held each year at the Festival on Saturdays (the stages varied from year to year). The winners were allowed to perform on the Main Stage that evening. The winners for the Junior Division (featured on this tape) were Martin Johnson (first), Ian Malinsowksi (second) and Aaron Adelson (third); the Rustic Division (also on this tape) winners were Mike Stapleton (first), Lindsey Smith (second), and Tom Van Truse (third); Contemporary Division (see D93-37) winners were Cindy Brophy (first), Clair Davis (second) and Ash Reader (third); and the Twin Fiddle Division (see D93-37) winners were Dan Green/Tammy Murray (first), Mary Carahan/Mary Gordon (second), and Allan Hood/John Gerber (third). There were also several fiddling demonstrations held in between the divisions (Bob & Dana Kogut, Bob Murphy, and Amy Cox).

- One digital audio tape (DAT).(Copied onto C94-81/82.) Mutima served as the emcee. The Drava International Folk Dancers were based out of Tallahassee and danced to pre-recorded music. Seaman played fiddle, and Piccalo played guitar. Both were from Jacksonville. Lia Fal, based out of Tarpon Springs, consisted of Debbie Canady (banjo/mandolin), Elan Chalford (fiddle), and Marj Hassen (bass).the swing music band Jobo Todi Band, from St. Augustine, included Bob and Jolene Patterson (guitar) and Dick ? (flute/sax). Jay and Peggy Smith were from Jacksonville; as was the Crawford Family.

Matthews was the director of the Florida Division of Historical Resources (which housed the Florida Folklife Program). She presented all awards. The Florida State Fiddle Contest was held each year at the Festival on Saturdays (the stages varied from year to year). The winners were allowed to perform on the Main Stage that evening. The winners for 2001 were: Jonathan Hodge (contemporary); Kathy Agar & Ian Malinowksi (twin fiddle); Lloyd Baldwin (rustic); and Puck Pottsberg (junior). Winners of the 2001 Florida Folk Heritage Awards dug-out canoe maker Bobby Henry, Russian iconographer Alexander Jasiukowicz, Irish fiddler James Kelly, traditional Hawaiian artist Henry Ohumukini, fiddler Richard Seaman, and folk singer/songwriter Jeanie Fitchen. Based on recommendations from the Florida Folklife Council, the Secretary of State confers Florida Folk Heritage Awards annually. The awards are given to outstanding folk artists and folk culture advocates who have made long-standing contributions to the folk cultural resources of the state. Established in 1985, the program parallels the National Heritage Fellowships. Johnson was the district bureau chief for the Florida Park Service, District 2. Williams was the director for the Florida Folklife Council.

- Six audio cassette recordings. Storytellers spoke between 10:00am and 2pm at the Storytelling Auditorium. The coordinator was Peggy Smith. (The Storytelling Tent area, coordinated by Nancy Case, and featuring some of the same storytellers, was not recorded.) Larkin, of Atlanta, spoke twice; the first time to fill in for the two absent storytellers: John Johnson and Margie Baldwin. Cappa, (of Williamsport, PA), Roy (of Fort Myers), and Rivers (of Ybor City) were audience members participating in the Cousin Thelma Story Swap. Harshbarger, of Tallahassee, used finger puppets in her presentation. Smith and Seaman were from Jacksonville. Louis resided in Miami.
