Call, Delegate from Florida, Washington, 2 pp., cover letter for ''our report as commissioners to locate the seat of government for the Territory.'' Relates that ''. . . the first view of Tallahassee convinced [Doct. Simmons] that no spot in the Territory united so many advantages. But he felt mortified . . . that his friends in St. Augustine might say that he had deserted their interests. . .''
