Galt City Is located on the Pensacola & Atlantic Railroad, fifteen miles East of Pensacola, and midway between Escambia and Blackwater Bays. Milton, a charming village of 1,500 inhabitants, and Blackwater, of 750, are located five miles east on the Blackwater. GALT CITY is one of the most delightful places on the line of the P. & A. R. R. for residence, or for those desiring to go into Fruit Growing & Truck Farming. The country for miles around is rolling, well drained and productive. This is the place to locate if you wish to engage in gardening or fruit growing. Being near Pensacola, you can ship by either water or rail. Peaches, Apricots, Grapes, Pomegranates, Figs, Pears, and Pecans, And all kinds of small fruits thrive. Of these the Strawberry, Raspberry and Blackberry are especially profitable. Emigrants will do well to bear in mind our choice five and ten acre blocks are just adapted for enterprises of this description, while those desiring to farm on a larger scale, or to go into stock raising, will find the surrounding country most suitable. The LeConte Pear, now almost as widely known as the Orange, and even more profitable, finds here a most congenial soil and climate. For a full description of this pear, send for Facts on Florida. Perhaps no industry will equal in profits the culture of the Fig. It grows rapidly from cuttings , and bears in about eighteen months. The crop is never failing. The fruit dried, evaporated or preserved, is a delicacy, and sells well in all markets. Our beautiful Bays and Rivers Furnish fine sport for the fisherman, and the surrounding woods contain Deer, Wild Turkey, and smaller game. The Finest Oysters in the Market Are gathered in any quantity within two miles of this point. A Delightful Winter Climate, And the summer heat tempered by an unfailing Sea Breeze, will make this one of the most popular health resorts in the South. Pure, soft water is in abundance, and health-giving mineral springs are near. Before the war these were the attraction to numbers of health-seekers who came from all parts of the country and camped around them. Agents wanted in every locality, to whom liberal commissions will be paid. Special Terms Made to Colonies and Permanent Settlers. For further information address, W. G. Chipley, No 8 East Government Street, Or, A. W. Stewart, P.O. Box 272 Pensacola, Florida
