Description
This flier suggests that the next war will bring significant destruction to society, and that readers should move to Florida to avoid being cut off from a stable food supply. "When northern crops fail and transportation systems break down, when northern fields are bronze and trees bear [sic], will you die of starvation in the North, or be eating oranges and papayas in Florida?"

War! War! War!
"Army expert says Civilization can't survive next war!"
is the heading of an item in the press of July 4th.
Aerial bombardment of Shanghai by Japs caused millions of dollars of
damage, and terrible loss of life - a startling example of things to happen in
the next great war, for which Nations are now feverishly preparing.
Aerial bombardment of cities is a terrible thing. Soldiers at the front
will often be safer than those back home in the cities. Italy is preparing for
this with plans to transport city populations to the country.
Destruction of cities may come as God's vengeance upon the corrup-
tion of these centers, built by greedy men. God put man in a garden; but
man left it and built cities, now become cesspools of corruption. The wiser
ones have discovered that and are moving to rural regions.
It is almost suicide to live in the North, while your food grows
in the South. When northern crops fail and transportation systems break
down, when northern fields are frozen and trees bear, will you die of star-
vation in the North, or be eating oranges and papayas in Florida?
With a large part of the world gripped by dictatorship, governed by
greed, grimed with war-smoke, gory with war-blood, with people persecuted
because of their faith, and human freedom bound fast with thongs of despotic
power, your duty of the hour is to get a small subsistence homestead in the
land of oranges and papayas, where ice and snow are unknown, and where
you cannot freeze nor starve.
Prepare while you can. Be ready when the worst comes. Let
not the precious days pass without acting. What you do now
may be the means of saving you from a horrible and untimely
death.
