Description
One compact disc. Litschauer served as emcee. Popular folk singer Koerner (often referred to as "Spider" John Koerner) played off and on with the trio Koerner, Ray, and Glover in the 1960s. From Rochester, New York, he entered the folk revival scene in 1958 while at the University of Minneapolis -- where he played with newcomer Bob Dylan (still going by Bob Zimmerman). Throughout the 1960s, he played at several Newport Folk Festivals, many of which were released as live albums by Vanguard records. He returned to performing in the 1980s after a decade-long retirement. In 1998, he underwent triple-bypass surgery, and toured over the next couple of years to help pay the large medical bills.
