Description

The script starts by asking, "What is land?" A long philosophical answer is given over scenes of life in Putnam County. The film shows farming, cattle, rodeo, sailing and bass fishing, including underwater photography. Viewers also see gladiolus farms, residences in Palatka, a utility plant, the Hudson Pulp and Paper Corp., and furniture manufacturing. The film shows schools, public facilities and President Lyndon B. Johnson at the ground breaking of the Cross Florida Barge Canal. There are good shots of a huge "walking" drag line.
