Description

This film shows the community of Pompano Beach, including the fun, entertainment and activities that are available in the area. Viewers see homes "that range in price from $8,000." Flowering plants, backyard pools and canals with water skiers are typical. Viewers see banks, businesses and lots of cars. The film shows produce, industry, hotels, motels and Ted Mack strolling the beach. Viewers see Hillsborough Lighthouse, the beaches, golf courses, harness and thoroughbred races, Dania Jai-Alai Fronton and Storyland Amusement Park. Churches, schools and hospitals are shown next. The film also shows a train depot, Broward County Airport, cruise ships at Port Everglades, the Yacht Club, deep-sea fishing and nightlife. The area is described as "a veritable utopia."
