The meeting would be headquartered at the Soreno Hotel in St. Petersburg from November 19th to 21st, 1961. One topic slated for special emphasis was the potential impact of the federal government's lunar exploration program on Florida's business community. The convention's slogan was "Florida: A-OK. Countdown to Prosperity."
