10TH ANNUAL PIONEER DAYS - OCT. 22 & 23
The community celebration begins Friday, October 21, with the Pine Castle Elementary School Spaghetti Dinner 5:30 - 7:30 P.M.
On Saturday, October 22, Central Florida's only Folk Festival will kick off with a parade down south Orange Avenue at 10:00 A.M. But, first the Pine castle Methodist church will be serving a Pancake Breakfast from 6:30-9:30 A.M.
The First Baptist Church will offer Infant Care (through age 3) Saturday only, 9:00-AM-12:00 noon and 3:00-5:00 P.M. at the church.
THE FESTIVAL GROUNDS WILL OPEN AT 10:00 A.M. on Saturday with something for everyone!
*All day entertainment at the Gazebo and Stage Under the Oaks, featuring Bluegrass, Clogging, and much more!
*Bake off Judging 11:00 A.M. Saturday
*Folklife Area featuring Cattle Ranching
*Sugar Cane Grinding & Syrup Making Demonstration
*Traditional Craft Demonstrations featuring Basketry
*Story Telling
*Juried Craft Show
*Bazaar Craft Booths
*Exhibits: "Pursuits and Pastimes," "Arts Center Instructors," "Quilting Tomorrow's Treasures," "Miniatures"
*Antique Engines
*Children's Area with taffy, games and rabbit petting zoo....and more

*BBQ Ribs, Hamburgers, hot dogs, country cookin' and homemade biscuits
*Pioneer Days T-shirts on sale
Saturday night, caller Bert Roper will make Waltham Street come alive with free Square Dancing from 6:30 to 9:30 P.M.
Sunday, October 23, the Festival will begin at 11:00 A.M. with all new entertainment and more of the same until 6:00 P.M.

A demonstration showing how pioneers preserved staples without refrigeration in order to have food throughout the year.

FLORIDA COWMEN: THE NEGLECTED STORY
A group of central Florida Cowmen will reminisce about ranching days and cattle hunts when the open range was scoured for young calves.
