At the Colored Methodist Church, in Georgetown
Several Physicians will Discuss Health Topics
For the first time in the history of Sanford, a Health Mass Meeting will be held, Wednesday night Nov. 28th, at the Colored Methodist Church, Rev. J.D. Hill pastor, in Georgetown.
To this meeting, every person, white or colored, lady or gentleman, who is interested in the public health, is invited. "How to live a long time," is the topic that will be discussed by Drs. Neal, Bruce, Puleston and other learned physicians. No one, who is interested in the matter of living a long time, can afford to miss the opportunity to hear these learned physicians discuss this topic. Thousands of persons are dying daily because they are absolutely ignorant of the things that will be made known at this meeting. Mayor Woodruff, and other distinguished persons, will be present to deliver short addresses on important subjects. Fine music will be furnished by the best musical talent in Sanford.
This meeting will be held by order of, and under the management of The National Health Bureau, Dr. D. W. Culp, president, an organization which has recently begun the work of giving physical salvation to the Negro Race of America. Tell everybody you meet about this meeting, and be sure to be present yourself and bring someone with you. As you will be admitted to the meeting free, you will please take a little money in your pocket, to give to the cause at the close of the meeting.
