10:15 AM- General McMillan and General Cooper arrive at Governor's Mansion.

10:30 AM- Depart Mansion for the Capitol in chauffered convertibles preceded by three motorcycles and two FHP cars?:

Car 2. Mrs. Bryant right rear, Mrs. Burns left rear, General Cooper front, Lt. Saunders driver

FHP responsible for lining up convertibles in driveway.

Transportation Committee (Mr. Mingledorff) responsible for providing six convertibles to be picked up by FHP at Mingledorff Motors not later than 9:30 A.M., 5 January 65. Each to be marked on both sides designaating occupatns. These markings to be printed by Frank Deller and placed by transportation committee.

Primary Route: Adams to Pensacola to Monroe and into Capitol driveyway to east entrance steps.

Alternate Route (If Adams Street blocked) Brevard to Bronough to Tennessee to Adams and resume primary route. No change in time schedule.

10:33 AM- Convoy meets Honor Guard (already marching) at College Avenue and Adams Street. Escort will echelon around Honor Guard, placing Honor Guard between escort and Governors' convertible.

10:38 AM- Arrive east entrance of Capitol. Escort proceeds down Monroe Street and enter Capitol driveway. Honor company, Color Guard, Governors, wives, military aides and families enter driveway and enter Capitol at east entrance.

Car No. 4 with the Burnetts will proceed under Capitol steps where FHP driver will escort the Burnetts to elevator in south corridor basement and up to the Rotunda.

10:45 AM- The Governors, wives, families and military aides will arrive in Rotunda and join Cabinet, Supreme Court Justies and their wives. Immediately thereafter, Captain Nunn escorts Governor Bryant's daughters and the Burnetts to the platform seats followed by Captain Swing escorting Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Watkins, Bill Burns, Mrs. Burns (Gov. Mother) and Mrs. Kuhn. (See Seating Pages 5 and 6.) The General McMillan escorting Mrs. Bryant and General Cooper, escorting Mrs. Burns, will proceed to the platform followed by the Cabinet and Supreme Court Justices' wives where the ladies will be seated. (See formation page 3.) General McMIlland and General Cooper immediately return to the Rotunda and General McMillan escorts Governor Byant and General Cooper escorts Governor-Elect Burns to the platform followed by the Cabinet and Supreme Court Justices. 12:26 PM - Benediction- Rabbi Lefkowitz, Jacksonville

12: 28 PM - General McMIllan, immediately after benediction, proceeds to the side of Governor Burns and General Cooper to the side of Governor Byrant and escort them and their wives from the platform. General McMIllan escorts Governor and Mrs. Burns to the Governor's office for a reception with the Governor's office for a reception with the Governor's immediate family, designated officials and their wives. General Cooper escorts Governor and Mrs. Bryant to the east entrance of the Capitol and plaes them in the same car which brough them. General Cooper then goes to the Governor's Office to assist General McMillan in the reception.

Captain Swing escorts the Burns family to the Governor's office. Captain Nunn escorts the Bryant daughters to join Governor and Mrs. Bryant at east entrance of the Capitol.

Governor Burns will change from morning tuxedo to a business suit, in his office, prior to the reception in the Rotunda.

RECEPTION IN THE ROTUNDA

1:25 PM - Governor's Party departs Governor's Office for Rotunda, where it will be met by the balance of the receiving line participants.

1:30 PM - Receiving line forms in the Rotunda (See formation, opposite page.) General Cooper stands by the assist General McMIllan.

2:00 PM - Sixteen convertibles to be positioned on Pensacola Street between Adams and Monroe in three lines. Fifteen convertibles headed west and convertible for Mrs. Burns (Gov Mother) and Mrs. Kuhn headed east for movement directly to reviewing stand. FHP responsible for positioning.

2:40 PM - Captain Swing escorts Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Watkins, Bill Burns, Mrs. Burns (Gov Mother) and Mrs. Kuhn from Governor's Office to Rotunda.

PARADE

2:45 PM - General McMillan escorts Governor and Mrs. Burns up north hall to stairway just west of entrance to Comptroller's Office, down the stairs of elevator, out north door and to Governor's convertible, accompanied by Cabinet, Supreme Court Justices and their wives followed by Burns family escorted by Captain Swing. Preceded by escort, convertibles will turn north on Adams to Tennessee to Monroe to head of parade. General Cooper escorts Mrs. Burns (Gov Mother) and Mrs. Kuhn to car transporting them, which will turn north on Monroe and proceed directly to the reviewing stand where General Cooper will seat these ladies.

3:00 PM - Lead parade to reviewing stand on east side of Monroe at Courthouse.

Upon arrival at reviewing stand, Governor's car moves to the most accessible position and other cars close up the formation. All reviewing stand participatns exit their cars simultaneously with Governor Burns and his family leading the procession onto the reviewing stand. (See seating, opposite page.)

Subsequent to parade, General McMIllan escorts Governor and Mrs. Burns to the mansion entering by rear entrance.

FHP cars transport Cabinet, Supreme Court Justices and Burns family to their desired destinations. These cars and Governor's limousine will be parked on Jefferson Street beside Lewis State Bank during parade.

7:45 PM - General McMillan arrives at the Mansion to assist in meeting officials and organizing part to depart for A&M Ball.

8:00 PM- The following officials and wives gather at the Mansion:

Supreme Court Justices and their wives will proceed direct to FSU Tully Gym in their assigned FHP cars arriving in time to join Governor Burns' Party when it arrives from A&M Ball.

8:30 PM - Governor Burns, Mrs. Burns and aforementioned officials and wives depart Mansion for A&M University with escort. Route of march will be Adams to Palmer to Boulevard to A&M Student Union Ballroom.

8:45 PM - Arrive A&M Inaugural Ball. Program arranged by Florida A&M Inaugural Ball Committee.

9:15 PM- Depart A&M for FSU Tully Gym. Route of march will be Boulevard to Osceola to Adams to Pensacola to Woodward to Park to Wildwood to Tully Gym. (west entrance).

Twenty-five member Reception Committee is charged with an early arrival in order that they might greet all visitors and away the arrival of Governor Burn's Pary. They will assist in checking costs and wraps in the Governor's Part and then assist General McMillan and General Cooper in the alignment for the Grand March.

9:20 PM - The MC will announce the Posting of the Colors and the Colors will be posted by the FNG Color Guard moving from the end of the hall opposite the stage and returning the same way. The Colors will not be formally retired at the end of the program.

9:30 PM - Governor Burns and his Party arrive. General McMillan and General Cooper assisted by the Reception Committee, align participants in the Grand March in the pre-arranged staging area as follows:

The MC announces "Ladies and Gentlemen, we present Governor Burns and the Official Family of Florida." The orchestra will play music that will provide for a moderately paced walk. The MC will call the Grand March. Governor and Mrs. Burns enter the ballroom and continue to the cneter followed by the official family. Two Grand March Marshals will direct the order of march on the floor. When Governor and Mrs. Burns reach the end of the ballroom, they will turn ot the left and the couples following will alternately turn right and left and proceed back to the entrnace along a path as near to the sides as possible. The couples will then turn towards the center of the ballroom and join in a column of fours for the next march to the east down the center of the ballroom. On the second march, the Governor's group will turn right and groups following will alternately turn left and raight and again proceed along the sidelines to the entrance for regrouping. The last march will be in groups of eight with the exception of the Governor's group which will consist of the Governor and Mrs. Burns in the middle, daughter & so on either side, General and Mrs. McMillan on the right and General and Mrs. Cooper on the left. The group behind the Governor's group will march as a group of six and all succeeding groups will be of eight.

9:40 PM - The Grand March concludes. The entire Grand March group will await an announcment from the MC of a dance for Governor and Mrs. Burns. After a few steps, the Governor, by motions, will inivte everyone to dance.

9:50 PM - Governor Burns and his family retire to a seating area prepared for them across from the bandstand to view the entertainment program to follow.

9:52 PM - The MC presents the show with Guy Lombardo, Anita Bryant, and Johnny Desmond.

10:50 PM- The show concludes. A long drum roll signals the entrance of the Governor's Honor Guard consisting of two files of three men each which converges on the Governor's table. The Honor Guard then escorts Governor and Mrs. Burns, accompanied by General McMillan to the stage at half-step. Drum cadence will be provided by the orchestra. Governor BUrns will be on the right, Mrs. Burns in the center and General McMIllan on the left. General McMillan follows Governor and Mrs. Burns up the stage stairs and stands by the escrot Mrs. Burns to her chair on stage. The Honor Guard then assumes a single rank position in front and facing away from the stage. As silence prevails, Mrs. Burns is introduced and then is seated by General McMillan. Governor Burns speaks for approximately five minutes and then he, Mrs. Burns and General McMillan return ot the Gov-

ernor's table escorted by the Honor Guard. The Honor Guard then exists from the hall.

11:00 PM - The audience is invited to dance to the music of Guy Lombardo for the balance of the evening.
