The waters of this well are obtained by a well driven to tap the source of the famous Espiritu Santos (Holy Spirit Springs), the name given to the spring by Hernandez DeSoto, who discovered the waters and realized their beneficial effects.
Modern methods have been applied a handsome bath house where Russian, Turkish sweat baths and mineral baths, as well as massage treatments, are given. The waters are claimed to be beneficial in cases of rheumatism, indigestion, diabetis, and Bright's disease.
The hotel is of modern brick construction and offers rates of $3.00 and $3.50 a day. Weekly rates on application.
