Description
Letter from Algy Knox Bevins to his mother, Minnie Bevins, discussing his departure and her illness.
Dear Mother
Often I think of you and long to be there to assist you and to lighten the load on sis. It has been a long three weeks since I left you, but one week away from home is one week less to do here so what is lost one way is gained in another. There is so much that I could do, and so much that will be left undone because I am not there, that now is the time I should be home.
Hurry up and get well for my sake and keep [hoping] with me that we will all be well and happy and on our feet, financially, again soon.
[Lovingly] Your [Son]
Algy K.B.
