Dear Mr. Christian;
Since I have lived by and with contracts all my business life, I am increasingly baffled by the business with the teacher strike.
If I defaulted on a contract, and in the course of such default damaged my associates in the matter, I would expect to be sued and have damages assessed against me.
Therefore, if the teachers have defaulted on firm contracts I can see no reason for why the several county schools boards should not file individual suits against them for an in behalf of the public for damages done as a direct result of the default.
This may be and probably is an oversimplification of the approach to the matter of getting this thing settled - but I think in simple and direct ways, and suspect many other people do the same.
