Dear Priscilla:
After reading the article in the Oklahoma University Newspaper, which is enclosed in this letter, I felt moved to add a few thoughts on your situation.
Wouldn't your master be proud of you now? You say, "you are equal" but I can't help wondering why you are in jail while I, a white American, am writing you a letter and not in jail also.
I would suggest that you start any future crusades which you have in mind, among your fellow inmates, as you seem to be destined to be in much closer contact with those people than anyone in the "free" world.
May I ask you a question, Priscilla? If you are equal, why aren't you white?
In closing, I would like to wish you as much luck with your movement as your kin are currently having in South Africa with theirs.
Yours in tar and feathers,
