After reading your story in the paper I had to write you and the other jailed students a letter to let you know how much I appreciate what you've done for your race and offer you my prayers.

As a member of your race I will try to act as courageous as you if a similar situation ever happens to me. In the meantime I will refuse to patronize all stores that discriminate Negroes in the South and continue

Continue to believe in what you're doing because the racial policy in the South will change and all Negroes will be accepted as first class citizens.
