In 1971, the Playboy Plaza Hotel sent out promotional materials to encourage organizations to hold meetings and conferences at their facilities. A copy of this material was sent to Florida feminist Roxcy Bolton who wrote back to Thomas V. Zemsta, the Playboy assistant director of sales, expressing her distaste and requesting to be removed from their mailing list.
