Description
A Miami CORE flier describing demonstrations in Tallahassee in which Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University (FAMU) and Florida State University (FSU) students were arrested and released on bail. Two FAMU students, Patricia Stephens Due and Rubin Kenon, were suspended as a result. The flier is encouraging people to contact FAMU Administration and encourage the university to "defend its students."

The Congress of Racial Equality (CORE) was a civil rights organization that practiced non-violent direct action.

During the past three months in Tallahassee, there have been public demonstrations against racial discrimination in theatres and restaurants. The demonstrators were students of FAMU and FSU. Arrests were made and the students were released on bail. Pressure was applied for administrative action against the participating students and faculty members of both schools. No action was taken at F. S. U. Patricia Due and [Rubin Kenon] were suspended from FAMU.
Petition the FAMU Administration to defend its students and join the battle for Freedom in America.
