Census Taker's Remarks

This division is usually very healthy. There has no malady prevailed to any extent for several years. Generally slight intermittent fever may be found in some portions of this division during some of the summer months. Pine, oak, cypress & hickory trees abound. Water good, unimpregnated with limestone. No mineral productions are found. Soil sandy, high & light on sea coast, low, hard and abounding in clay in the interior. Soil generally productive.
