Dear Mr. Coe:- I know of no national park in the entire United States which would attract so many people as the Everglades National Park to be situated in the Southern tip end of Florida. The strangeness of its growth, the mystery and enchantment of its cloud effects and the beauty of its flower life, and the interest of the animal kingdom found there will make it not only a place visited by many people, but will insure it being one of the few spots in the United States left almost in its primeval state. Nature will have changed but little the growth and animal life of this section of Florida when it becomes national park property and is protected by Federal agencies. Your work in bringing this about has been outstanding and no other man I know of would have undertaken or carried along as you have without compensation other than the compensation sure to come to you of the gratitude of people who love natural outdoors.
