Original manuscript copy of a legislative act approved by Florida's Territorial Legislative Council and signed into law by Governor William Pope DuVal. The act refers to an ordinance issued by Military Governor Andrew Jackson the previous year (1821), also incorporating the city of St. Augustine, and gives it additional force of civil law.
