Operates numerous routes in Central Florida in the general area of the proposed “Disney World”. Greyhound, of course, will be very much interested in routing some of its scheduled service via the entrances to Disney World in order to afford the bus riding public the conveniences of regularly scheduled bus service to and from this attraction. This is to request that you refer me to whoever you believe could give us the facts about the proposed Disney World and the routes that will serve this installation in order that we might work out plans which will conform to the program of the state of Florida and the owners of Disney World. Adkins Vice President - Traffic Southern Greyhound Lines 219 East Short Street Lexington, Kentucky Dear Johnny: I regret that your letter has been permitted to go unanswered this long. However, I held it awaiting time to personally reply. The Disney developments in Central Florida are, in my judgment, between three and four years from the time it would be open to the public. This being true, it would appear much premature to try to discuss their needs. My Observations of the Disney organization lead me to suggest that well in advance of their opening there will be available for your survey data which will indicate the volume of transportation that will be needed from each of the several categories. Mildred and I find ourselves often reflecting with pride on the young men and young ladies that it has been our privilege to know and work with in years past.
