A letter from J. Vining Harris to Governor Doyle E. Carlton regarding Harris' investigation into the custody of Robert J. Mitchell per the governor's request. Harris reports Mitchell pled guilty on May 9, 1932, to uttering worthless checks and was sentenced to six months of hard labor in Monroe County commencing from the date of arrest on or about April 9, 1932.
