The storm mentioned in this document were likely caused by the 1929 Bahamas Hurricane, which struck the Bahamas as a Category 4 hurricane on September 25, 1929. The storm later crossed the Florida Keys as a Category 2 hurricane on September 28, proceeded into the Gulf of Mexico, and then made landfall once more as a Category 1 Hurricane before passing near Panama City, Florida, as a tropical storm on September 30. The tropical storm then went on to bring flooding to Georgia, Alabama, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
