General Note
El Jardin, erected in 1917 by Pittsburgh Steel Company president John Bindley, was built by Richard Kiehnel (architect) in the Mediterranean Revival style. It was later added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1974. Located at 3747 Main Highway, it is currently serving as a private girl's school of the Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart which is planning a restoration project (2002).
