Born 1886 near Arran, son of Richard Maxie Lawhon and his second wife Lola Linton Blue. Farmed, turpentined and was a copper. Married Mammie Bell Langston in 1912. Lived in log house built by Buck Strickland ofr Jimpse Langston, on 120 acres, later moved to Tallahassee Junior Museum. About 1915, started working for John H. Ashmore making turpentine barrels, worked for him for 15 years then Burnett then Ashmore again. Wife died in 1926 of puerperal fever. Died in 1973.
