Served in the 3rd Seminole War under Captain Leroy Lesley. Elected Captain of the Hickory Boys, a mounted company of minutemen who operated near Fort Meade. Later joined 1st Florida Special Cavalry Battalion, Munnerlyn's Guard Battalion, which protected confederate cattle herds. Died 1884.
