Accompanying note: "Sen. Krimminger was a medical doctor, a professor of Greek & Latin, a member of the Constitutional Convention of 1868, County Superintendent of Lafayette Co. schools. Assassinated while serving as Lafayette Co. judge at New Troy in [October 1871].
Note: Although the perspective of the painted part of the tintype is off, he really was a small man, about 5'2"."
