May 1864: Letter to Frederick T. Myers from Ellen Call Long concerning estate. Regarding Ellen's son, Richard Call Long, argues that Ellen is unable to control her own estate. Institutes an action against Ellen. Her Letter attempts to vindicate herself. Her son came home after the War. She wanted him to go to College, he said no and listened to his father and went to Texas, lived there for two years and came back to Ellen. He made no effort to work so she employed him to run her plantation. He didn't care for it, rented it out and went to Texas to study law with his father.
