State of Florida County of Jefferson This agreement made and entered into this 2nd day of October, AD 1867, between Charles A. Benton of the first part and Thomas Smith of the second part, both of the State and County aforesaid, witnesseth that the said Thomas Smith, the party of the second part, agrees to deliver in a sound and marketable condition - one hundred bushels of corn between this day and November 15th, 1867 - the consideration for which is one black horse delivered to said Smith on this day by the party of the first part.
