The late A. B. Taff found his world at Shell Point Beach nearly fifty years ago. The area captured his imagination, so he began a land and timber business and raised his family here. A salty old fishing camp was transformed into a beach resort under his guidance, and the warmth of Shell Point beach began to extend beyond the Florida sunshine to the southern hospitality so much a part of the Taff tradition. The Taff family has remained to maintain their rich heritage.
Long before A. B. Taff came to Shell Point Beach, it was a seine yard where muller were caught by the thousands - Even today, from late October through early December - the mullet move through inland channels from nearby rivers out into the Gulf of Mexico to escape the coming - of winter. Many summer visitors return to Shell Point for this unique late fall activity. Seining is what first brought - man to Shell Point.. it is what first brough A. B. Taff. it is part of the fasciation that makes - Shell Point a world like no other, a world that will bring you back again... and again...

A modern motel offers welcome rest to weary travellers, or efficiency apartments are available for those anticipating several days or weeks of unspoiled relaxation.

Campers and picnickers will be glad they chose Shell Point. Charcoal or wood-burning grilles add outdoor zest to the cooking chores. Camping rigs may be pulled right up to the picnic and camper shed and connected with electricity and running water.
Families and other groups are invited to spend a day at Shell Point Beach and use the picnic facitilities.

Year-round or weekend sailors also find a welcome home at Shell Point. Easy access to the Gulf... a floating covered marina, rising with the tide to insure safety for boats up to forty feet, and offering electricial and running water facilities in each stall.
