My Dear Sis.-

It was indeed a [welcome] letter that I got a couple of days ago. I was beginning to think something had happened to you. Am very glad you are feeling better now. It must have been disagreeable feeling so bad and having such severe weather for so long. Am very much pleased with with[sic] your decision concerning your choice of Dixie

rather than old Penna. With a little arranging I believe we can shape things favorably down there. You have an idea what its like down there and if you are thinking of making a farm out of the place you are assured of our [cooperation]. Art and I will finance the project if you will but look after the old folks. That is my one big worry. Just let me hear of any plans you have and between us we surely can come out on top.

The settlement of which you spoke is very good for the circumstances. How did you do it?

If you need any money just let us know and we'll help you out. This applies to now and for whatever use you wish to put it for I know it'll be well spent.

There are little hopes of us getting back in the near future so Ellsworth has little chances of getting on board tho[sic] I think it would be a good branch for him and I am quite sure I would like to have him aboard.

You are quite [welcome] to the books you found in my trunk and It was a good idea to take those pictures along with you. [H]ang on to them. I mailed you a recent one taken on board. Hope you got it.

As I have not got Aunt Deal's address it is impossible for me to write her. When you write me again send it along and in the meantime give her my love and say I am thankful for her thinking about me.

We are both well and making out fairly well. Saw a small snow storm here a day or so ago. Weather is a bit disagreeable here now.

Remember me to all of the ones around there in whom you think I'd be interested. I'd like to see Grand Pa Bevins before he leaves us but don't know when I'll get back[.] Write often and long.
