Dear Pat,

In the north, the students have been very generous in responding to the actions of students in the south to stomp out bias. From every hand one hears of reports of groups picketing Woolworth's stores. I am a member of a Columbia University group which has been picketing each Saturday. Another group from the Union Theological Seminary has been picketing another store. The students of New York and the north are behind you.

Keep up the music practice – you can't miss practice just because you're not at school -.
