Dear Patricia,

I am writing to you as a fellow student to let you know that there are college students in Wooster, Ohio who are behind you and who sympathise with your cause. We students up here in the north have very little idea of what students like you and your sister are going through, but we do want those of you who are in prison for your beliefs to know that we are very proud of you. A group of 25 students from

our campus held demonstrations downtown today and raised some money to be sent to southern students who have been forced out of college.

We are rather at a loss as to what to do to help you. If there is anything that a group of us could do, please let us know.
