Dear Pat + [Priscilla]:
Received your letter, was so happy to hear from you. Brother was here the day I received it. He brought me up to date on the happenings. I hadn't read too much about it. Nancy's mother first told me about seeing your names among those arrested, I do hope much will be gained from your spending these months in jail. I admire you for your courage.
Brother was telling me about the Caribbean cruise being offered to you, also the tours. I told him I doubt if you'll have time to visit us this summer.
Sam have fixed the cellar up. He [illegible, torn] it and put a ceiling up. He did a very [illegible, torn] is very cool down there. So we'll [illegible, torn] down there when it gets hot.
