I think the young colored people who have participated here in North Carolina have behaved more admirably than many of the white folks. You should be served in public places as long as they accept your money for other conditions you people should be given 100% rights of citizens too, I feel.

Just wanted to let you know you have friends on the outside.

Though now we live in the south I am behind you in what you are trying to do. Stick up to your principles and, though unfortunately you may have to suffer, you will be able to face yourselves.

Just wanted to let you know you have friends on the outside.
