Description
Letter from Carita Doggett Corse, state director of the Federal Writers' Project (FWP), to W. T. Cash, state librarian, requesting a copy of a map of Fernandina for a city guide the FWP is producing. Cash replies acknowledging her request and stating that he is working on a chapter about medical history for her. He also asks that she call Duval County officials and ask them to support a bill for a new state library building.
General Note
W. T. Cash was state librarian from 1927 until his death in 1951. Carita Doggett Corse was the director of the Florida division of the Federal Writers Project from 1935 until 1942.

Dear Mr. Cash:
I am very much interested in hearing of the map of Fernandina which you have had compiled by Franz Dallheimer and I would like to know if it would be possible for you to have a copy made, of course at our expense.
We are doing a local guide for Fernandina and if you will allow us to reproduce it in the guide, of course we would be glad to give you credit for the research on the map.
I showed Franz an English map which I have with the city plan of [sic] Fernandina and he thought you would be much interested in it. I will be sure to bring it to Tallahassee next time I come.
