Cash State Librarian Tallahassee, Florida My dear Mr. Cash: The 100th anniversary of the adoption of Florida's First State Constitution will be observed in Port St. Joe, December 7, 8, 9, and 10 next. The celebration will be state wide, not to say nation wide, in character, in keeping with the importance and significance of the epoch marking occasion. A very comprehensive program is being prepared for presentation in the Centennial Building, which, like the Constitution Monument nearby, is being built on the site of the hall in which the constitution convention of 1838 was held. We have taken the liberty to name you, as one of the influential citizens of the state, to aid the general committee in making this celebration what it should be. We sincerely trust that you will accept this nomination in the spirit in which it is tendered. Please bear in mind, this is a state wide, not to say a nation wide, celebration, and not a local Port St. Joe affair.
