Gen. to the effect that withdrawals from the petition in the forms as shown by the enclosed copy is ineffective or insufficient Our attornies, Judge Archobald Judge Baker. Mr. Axtel Mr. Foster and others are of that opinion, but if we have a written opinion of the Atty Gen. it will have weight with the Commissioners. It seems clear that if a man signed the petition "under a [misapprehension] of its effects" he can vote against prohibition at the election as a [?} instead of withdrawing his name to call the

Proh Respectfully Referred to Rev. J. A. Erwin Atty's opinion in A-3 Jacksonville, Fla, Nov. 15 1907. This is to certify that whereas, I W. H. Romedy, the undersigned, did sign the prohibition petition or application, calling for an election for that purpose in this County. Whereas, i did so under a misapprehension of its effect, have now changed my mind, and desire to withdraw my name from the same. I do hereby withdraw my name and signature from said petition, or any petition calling for a prohibition election, to which it may appear, and do hereby authorize the Board of County Commissioners before whom such petition may be presented, to strike my name from the said list as one of the petitioners or applicants.
