Description

The correspondence begins with a letter from Colonel James H. Reynolds, Jr., chairman of the St. Johns County Defense Council, explaining that because the county was no longer funding the council it would have to cease operations. In his response, Blanding regrets the necessity of this action and makes recommendations for the proper disposition of the local council's responsibilities. Reynolds' follow-up further describes plans for the action.
