Description

Handwritten proclamation by Governor Harrison Reed declaring that all offices existing under the state constitution of 1865 vacant, and furthermore removing from office any justice of the peace, port warden, commissioner of deeds, notary public, inspector of lumber or other officer whose term was subject to the pleasure of the governor. The judge of probate in Leon County was excepted from this proclamation.
