Description

Handwritten proclamation from Governor Harrison Reed declaring that five amendments to Florida's state constitution had been duly ratified and were now in force. The amendments pertained to salaries for certain state officials, the combining of the offices of Surveyor-General and Commissioner of Immigration, the terms of the Supreme Court, the procedure for calling circuit judges up to serve temporarily on the Supreme Court when one of the justices was disqualified, and procedures for recording evidence.
