Description

Letter outlining concerns about civil defense vulnerabilities in Gulf County. Prior to the writing of this letter, the US Army issued civil defense instructions for coastal areas which did not extend North into the gulf coast region. Notably, an oil pipeline began at Port Saint Joe and served a large region of the South.
