Promotional film from 1964 for Eastern Air Lines' inaugural service flight of the Boeing 727 Fan-Jet airplane from Miami to Washington D.C. to Philadelphia, PA on February 1, 1964. The film shows the ribbon cutting for the "First Boeing 727 Service in the U.S." by Miami mayor Robert King High; Mayor High is bringing citrus baskets to be delivered to President Lyndon Johnson at their stops in Washington and to Philadelphia mayor James Tate. The narrator invites Florida tourism, stating "The familiar scene of sand and sea is always just a 727 away" and concluding, "There's something new in the air to bring Florida closer to you."
