Owners of the Clarendon Hotel at Seabreeze contracted with W. Starling Burgess to furnish a pilot and airplane to fly their guests. Burgess constructed a hangar on the beach, south of the hotel, and sent Phillips Ward Page to pilot his Burgess-Wright plane.
