Served in the 160th Military Police Battalion, an Army Reserve unit headquartered in Tallahassee. Called to active duty and served in Saudi Arabia (with brief operations in Iraq on several occasions) during Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm (a.k.a. First Gulf War) in 1990-1991.
