Originally rigged with two heavy duty masts, and an auxillary sail could be rigged on the foremast. Lighter masts replaced later Furnaces converted to fuel oil after WWI. Despite efforts to preserve her she sank off Bever St. wharf in Jacksonville and was abandoned 1950.
Intended as a towing or wrecking tug in the Keys, but insurrection against Spanish rule in Cuba sent her filibustering (conveying munitions of war to the rebels).
Owner: Captain Napoleon Bonaparte Broward, then Sheriff of Duval County, a captain and pilot on Saint Johns.
