State Library of Florida - The Florida Collection

The Florida Collection, housed in the State Library of Florida, is one of the most comprehensive collections of Floridiana available. Information is in a variety of formats including books, pamphlets, manuscripts, newspapers, broadsides, maps, clippings, pictures, from territorial days to the present.

The following are selected examples of materials relating to the Florida Constitutions:

  • Acts and Resolutions of the General Assembly of the State of Florida (Laws of Florida)
    Contains the acts, resolutions, and memorials of the Territorial Legislature (1822-1844) and the State Legislature since 1845.  The acts were filed with the Secretary of the Territory prior to 1845 and then with Secretary of State after statehood according to Chapter 15.07 F.S.
