Jacksonville, July 31, 1836. Letter to R.K. Call from John Warren. Pay Master complaint regarding no payment for his services of last winter. General Clinch mentioned. Wants the General to secure payment for those not paid. Mentions Major Putnam's battalions. Indians are burning and provlin (sic) on the East Side of the River and low down as Jacksonville without molestation. Complains about uselessness of Putnam's troops. Warcien is a Colonel Commander 2d M.D.E.F (East Florida).
